With Cuetec models , you gain durabilty without having to sacrifice style.  These cues can be found in a variety of colors and designs.  You may find a favorite look in the Vortex Series or the Starlight Series.  Best of all, they are sold at a very affordable price.

McDermott Cue Cases

When you have a found a brand of cues that you prefer, it often makes sense to trust that brand of cue cases as well.  McDermott, for example, manufactures high-end cues and the cases to keep them protected.  Both McDermott cues and cue cases are made of high-quality material.

McDermott cue cases have a sleek, simple look. The exterior is made of rugged vinyl.  They are lightweight and affordable.   Four different sizes of hard cases are available to hold different numbers of butts and shafts. All have outside pockets to allow easy access to all your pool supplies.

A soft cue case is also produced by McDermott.  This type of case does not fully protect cues from bending or breaking.  It does keep cues safe from scratching and dents.  A soft cue case, however, is often the easiest and most comfortable way to take your cues from place to place.

Hard cases are the most traditional. They are box-shaped with hinges on one side. They are most commonly constructed of leather, vinyl, or plastic. Divisions inside the case hold the butt and shaft separately. Some have a section for tips, chalk, and other accessories

Leather case with embroidered inlay
After you have selected your custom cue don’t forget to select an equally custom cue case.  There are many different materials to choose from, such as vinyl and hard plastic, but the  most popular is leather.  A leather case is functional and stylish. It protects your cues during transportation and looks good while doing it.

All good cases have a thick layer of foam padding to keep the cues firmly in place.  In addition to interior padding, most cases also have a wide padded strap for carrying comfort.  Premium leather cases are hand crafted with double stitched seams and an adjustable strap.  They come in different sizes to carry multiple shafts and butts. Be sure to select a case large enough to suit your needs. All cases have an extra pouch to fill with accessories such as chalk and tips.

Leather cases range from sleek and sophisticated to flashy and ornate.  Some of the more ornate leather cases offer embroidered inlays with metal clasps and buckles.  Instroke Cue Cases offer a large selection made of high-quality leather with designer looks.

Why Use Pool Cue Cases To Protect Your Stick?

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

As you begin to play pool more often, perhaps in local billiards leagues or at a semi-pro level, you’ll want to make sure that you protect whats probably your most valuable “tool of the trade”… your pool cue.

Pool cue cases are available in a wide variety of styles, materials, and shapes, but some of the more popular models include instroke cue cases, Giuseppe cue cases, and viking leather cue cases.

There are many items to consider when selecting a pool cue case, but some of the key features to look for include:

- durable interior protection

- ample storage options with pockets for billiard accessories

- lightweight, damage-resistant, and oversized tubes for pool butts and shaft

- fully insulated interior allowing for slowed acclimatization to temperature changes

- high-quality and durable exterior materials such as leather or vinyl

- reinforced stress points with industrial strength rivets

- large pockets with easy access to accessories

- side and top handles with fully adjustable shoulder straps

- design that allows for pool butt and shafts to be stored with the joint up or down

Additionally, there are several different types of cue cases including:

Hard Cases - These are the most popular types of cue cases, and typically provide the most protection.  These type cases can vary in size, with the smallest being a one butt/one shaft case, allowing you to carry one cue butt and one cue shaft in the case. Cases can go as high as three butt/seven shaft but are most commonly found in the two butt/two shaft and two butt/four shaft variety.

Soft Cases - These type cases are good for beginning players using starter cues or for short term storage.   Although they do not feature the impact resistent protective tubes that you find in hard cases, soft cases do keep each shaft and butt in separate compartments to protect from damage. Also, soft cue cases do not typically feature as many exterior pockets as do hard cases, so you won’t have as much room for your accessories, and are less expensive.   Soft cases typically come in the one butt/one shaft variety, but you can get soft cases as large as two butt/four shaft.

Box Cases -  The third type of case is the box cue case. Box cases have a more “classic” or “traditional” look, which is one of the primary reasons that players buy box cases. Many box cases are built in a briefcase style, complete with heavy-duty latch style fasteners. Some of the higher-end box cue cases can also feature combination locks for additional security. From a protection standpoint, box cases will provide a similar level of security as compared to a hard case, and provide an excellent protective option for new to professional level pool players.

Take the opportunity now, before you accidentally damage your pool cue, to purchase an affordable pool cue case that best fits your personal needs.

CornerPocketPool.com offers a large, in-stock inventory of the most-popular cue cases and have trained customer service representatives, on-staff, to help you find protective leather pool cue cases that best suit your use and needs.
