Having a pool table in your home is a great luxury and wonderful source of entertainment. However, at times it can be nice to have extra table space when entertaining. Your pool table provides a nice extra surface, but you would never dream of using it unprotected. A hard top pool table cover could be the answer you are looking for.
Pool tables provide their owners with hours of enjoyment. However, they do take up a rather large amount of space. It can be a great use of extra space to display food, drinks, and other items. A tablecloth alone cannot do the job of protecting your precious pool table from spills, scratches, and tears. In addition, unavoidable elements such as dust and sunlight can damage your table over time. These types of disasters can permanently ruin the felt on your table. The costs of replacing the entire felt surface can add up quickly.
It is a wise decision to make the investment in a cover for your pool table. Both soft covers and hard covers are available. Soft covers can be draped over the table or fitted snugly. They are commonly made of leather material and come in a variety of colors. Soft covers do fend off most spills, dust, and sunlight.
A hard top table cover has and extra component that can provide added protection against scratches or tears from sharp objects. First a vinyl covered foam insert must be fitted directly on the surface of the billiards table. Then a cover made of a resistant material, such as leather or vinyl, is placed over the top of the table and its edges.
Hard top pool table covers can be sold with both pieces together in a convenient kit. The cover and foam surface are both fitted to the specific size of your table for complete coverage. They come in a variety of colors to match any room, as well. When not in use, these covers can be neatly folded and tucked away in a closet or under a bed.
It is a great idea to maximize space and usage of your pool table. With a hard top cover your investment will have the best protection possible.

Predator is a cue company recognized for its innovations in shaft technology. They produce shafts that offer more spin and accuracy than ever seen before. As a beginning player, you can steadily advance your game with the use of a Predator 314v2. Over half of today’s high-ranking professionals use Predator products.
A special splicing technique is used in the production of this shaft. Ten wedge pieces are combined to make the shaft. This process eliminates inconsistencies in wood grain. This solid make up eliminates negative vibrations.
Another great feature of this shaft is the patented Quick Release Uni-Loc joint system. This is a “one-turn-on, one-turn-off” joint system that provides a very precise fit. Not only does this save time putting your cue together, the joint fit is thirty times more accurate than the traditional threaded joint. This joint technology gives you the feel of playing with a one piece cue. The Predator 314 cue shaft is completely interchangeable with all other butts with a Uni-Loc joint.
All Predator joints are made with the stable compound, Phenolic. This eliminates the movement common with wood. Your shot with a Predator cue is so solid that you can hear the difference. When you make that perfect contact with the cue ball, you will know by the sound.
This particular model shaft comes with an upgraded Everest tip, standard, which adds even more accuracy to your game. The standard tip diameter is 12.75 mm. The ferrule length is 6/10”. The standard shaft length is 29 inches. In addition, the 314v2 includes a traditional, or “pro” taper in their design, which can help newer players become more proficient and comfortable with the cue in a shorter amount of time.
The Predator 314 2nd generation pool cue seems to best benefit players at a beginner to intermediate level. If you fit into one of these categories, this shaft will provide great improvement in your game. You can always upgrade to a more professional model shaft as your game advances.

When searching for your perfect cue, you want one that is well-made with innovative function. Over the years the traditional wooden cue has been drastically improved by new materials and ideas. Predator pool cues with C4 core technology are a great example of the evolution of the pool cue.
The Predator Ikon1 is an entry level in this series. This model provides a high level of control from the C4 core. The four wedge pieces that make up the core increase its stability. This eliminates the negative vibration for a more solid feeling shot. With this cue, you will be able to shoot straighter and increase your accuracy.
This cue is made from hard maple with an attractive high-gloss black finish. Ikon series cues include a 314² shaft with the popular pro taper. This model’s standard shaft length is 29 in. An Everest tip by Tiger is included. The standard weight is 19 oz, but a range of 18.5 to 20 oz weights are available.
Another great feature of this pool cue is the patented Uni-Loc joint system. This is a “one-turn-on, one-turn-off” joint system that provides a very precise fit. This cue joint technology gives you the feel of playing with a one piece cue.
A Leather-Luxe wrap is an additional feature of the Ikon1 that deserves special mention. This wrap is made up of a three-layer system to absorb moisture. The outermost layer is polyurethane that allows moisture to pass through to keep your hand dry during play. The middle layer is a highly absorbent cushion. Sweat is drawn into the middle layer and released to ensure a solid grip. The inside layer seals and protects the core from the absorbed moisture. Overall this technology provides a softer feel and easier grip than leather.
If you are in the market for a top-of-the-line cue stick with an attractive look, the Predator Ikon1 cue may be perfect for you. Be sure to checkout our full line of affordable Predator cues… In-Stock and Ready to Ship Today!

In any game of billiards, the most important shot is your first. The break shot can determine whether or not you get to continue your turn and have the upper hand. Due to the increased force behind this shot, it can cause severe wear and tear on your playing cue. It is a good idea to have a designated break cue. The Predator BK2 break shaft can improve your break shot and save your playing cue at the same time.
When searching for a great break shaft, you should concentrate most on the quality of the tip and ferrule. The BK2 shaft has a well designed ferrule and hard tip that can withstand the heavy force used in a break shot. The tip is 12.75 mm in diameter and made of phenolic and carbon fiber, so it is very sturdy. In combination, this tip and ferrule work together to give you the maximum amount of cue ball speed.
A special splicing technique is used in the production of this shaft. Ten wooden wedge pieces are combined to make the core. This process eliminates inconsistencies in wood grains. This solid make up eliminates negative vibrations. Your shot with a Predator shaft is so solid that you can hear the difference. When you make that perfect contact with the cue ball, you will know by the solid “thunk” sound.
Another great feature of this shaft is Predator’s patented Quick Release Uni-Loc joint system. This is a “one-turn-on, one-turn-off” joint system that provides a very precise fit. This solid joint technology gives you the feel of playing with a one piece cue.
Predator has adjusted the pivot point on the BK2 shaft to give you the maximum amount of acceleration and forgiveness. If you have a strong break shot, you likely choose to bridge at 13 to 14 in. for the most powerful break. Unfortunately the pivot points of most break cues are between 9 to 11 inches. To solve this discrepancy, Predator has placed the BK2 shaft pivot point between 13 to 14 inches.
If you are looking to save your playing cue and increase the power and consistency of your break shot, check out the full line of Predator cues at CornerPocketPool.com.. Ready to Ship TODAY!

Viking is renowned for being one of the leaders in billiard cue design, construction and manufacturing. Their design and craftsmanship allow them to produce cues of the highest quality, utilizing only a natural, ‘hands on’ fabrication method to produce a straighter, more evenly weighted, stable cue that feels great to hold and solid to play with.
It is for these reasons, that a vast number of pool players, from the professionals to the amateurs, to the weekend hobbyist, select Viking pool cues; They know they are purchasing an exceptionally well made piece of equipment designed to last and will always perform well, provided it is taken care of properly.
Due to the materials used in a pool cue’s construction, Viking cues must be kept in an environment that is consistent in temperature, ideally around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Any unnecessary exposure to moisture or heat can cause the wood to warp which will alter the cues’ straightness, and correspondingly, how it plays. Of course, cues which are slightly bent do not have the same feel as straight ones, and do not strike the billiard balls as cleanly. For these reasons, pool cues should never be stored in a vehicle or in a basement.
Players who do not do much traveling, and enjoy playing billiards in their own home should always protect their Viking cue in a cue rack, or an equivalent floor rack or wall rack system. Leaning the cue against a wall could lead to it falling or being knocked over, which could crack the wooden structure of the cue and cause it to not strike the balls as cleanly. In extreme cases, this can be the difference between winning and losing.
For those who a little more serious about their pool, and are members of teams that play in competitions, Viking cue cases are the best way to protect your cue. They are available in several different colors and sizes and ensure the safety of the cues stored within them because they are constructed from heavy duty vinyl. Separate internal compartments for the butt and shaft are lined with soft felt to prevent any damage occurring during transportation assure the safety of your investment. Each affordable cue case includes handles and a shoulder strap for ease of maneuverability, and there are four different compartment configurations available to suit your needs.

Lucasi is one company that has long been known for its quality cues. Their hybrid line of cues exhibits new technology inspired by the advances in the golf industry due to graphite shafts. They offer some of the most accurate cues on the market.
Lucasi Hybrid cues are specially engineered to instantly improve your game. The Zero Flex Point ferrule of the Lucasi Hybrid L-H40 has a unique polymer construction and lightweight core. This feature greatly reduces cue deflection. Cue ball deflection causes the majority of all missed shots. So, if you are a player who uses sidespin, this feature can ensure greater accuracy and ability to make your shots.
The cue shaft of this model is 29 inches in length and made of hard rock maple. It has an exceptional 8-piece radial construction. This serves to extend the sweet spot 360 degrees, throughout the whole shaft. Your power and control multiply with this increased area contacting the cue ball.
A G5 Grip is part of the wrap on this cue. This “T” pattern gives you added traction to grip your cue. This feature increases stability and ball control. Comfort is at your finger tips with this cue due to the X-Shox Dampening System. The memory foam incorporated into the wrap absorbs the impact vibration of your shot. Even the negative feedback of your strongest break shot is barely felt due to this technology.
Some of the additional high end features of the Lucasi Hybrid L-H40 include:
• 12.75 mm Universal Mastri 8-layered tip
• The popular Black Implex collar
• The Uni-Loc quick release joint pin
• Black mist and metallic silver finish
